JIB2 - Saturday Jensen M&G report
elsiecat

Apologize for any inaccuracy – would appreciate for any of the fans attended this M&G session corrects my mistakes :-)

Jensen Ackles is my favourite actor; I adore and respect him a lot. So it was kinda overwhelming to sit right next to him. I stared - I wanted to behave but just COULDN’T -  and was super nervous by simply asking him a question. Try talking to Jensen, he will look right at you while answering and in this close distance? That was almost the death of me.

The M&G in JIB2 is different from the Creation Con private Q&As, more intimate and casual, and you don’t have to ask a question, you can chat with the guests like old friends. Actually that was what happened in Jared’s M&G (I’m not sure I will write a report about that, since mostly we just chatted and I think only 1 or 2 questions were asked. I will write about my question and answer tho.) Although…I think if I spent hundreds of euros on an M&G I definitely would ask a serious question, but that’s just me.

Anyway, this is what I still remember from the M&G, my nervousness and his megawatts smile did cause some memory loss to me…

A French fan presented a gift to Jensen – it’s a bottle of wine from I think the year of Jensen’s birthday, the bottle even has dried mud on it, I imagine it would very expensive. What a thoughtful gift!

Then a Korean fan told him that he has a huge fan base in Korea, too, asked what would he say to his Korean fans? Jensen said he appreciated it very much, when the show first aired, they were thinking e.g. how’s the rating in Oregon; but it’s now popular in all over the world. We told him that in this con (JIB2) there are fans from 45 counties, which I think is totally amazing! I knew that there are fans from several different countries but 45? That’s just unbelievably great. The Korean fan also asked about the silk pillow they gave the guests in some earlier sessions, Jensen said they are great and Richard (or Sebastian?) even tried to sleep on it, lol.

Jensen also introduced his agent to us, she’s a blonde lady in her 30 or 40s and she has ‘taken care’ of Jensen for about 8 years.

Another two questions were what kind of movie he’d like to direct and what past real person he’d like to play. I think someone mentioned Marilyn Monroe (!?) for the 2nd one but the answers were lost to me, I can’t remember what he said. I’m looking forward to another reports from that M&G to fill the holes, so if you know anyone who’s writing, please let me know, I’d really, really appreciate it!

At one point a girl sat from the opposite side of the long table showed Jensen her gift – a ‘flying’ monkey, it’s a toy monkey with two long elastic arms, you can pop it out like a slingshot…hopefully you understand what I mean, lol. Anyway, since she was faraway she launch it to Jensen, and THIS THING CRIED, it was flying and weeping, and Jensen and the girl played launching weeping monkey for a while and I almost died of laughing…

Another girl brought a raccoon toy and asked Jensen to give it a name. If I remember correct it’s name now is Wiggie, lol

I also asked my question which I got from the CW board: Does S6 have a similar emotional scene like you experience in S2 in which you had to walk it off after shooting? I originally wanted to ask him about the meta episode but it was asked several times during his panels, so I changed to this one and I think it’s a very good question, too. His answer is no, but since the first 10 episodes were Dean-heavy he had a heavy workload too, while Jared got some vacation time. It was great pressure, Jensen had to call the directors telling them it's too much and he need help. He said the good thing about the SN is that when you ask for help they will listen and think of ways to solve the problem, not like some shows – you are contracted to this so you must do it no matter what.  He also talked about working with Jared and how difficult he felt with Sam not being the usual Sam. Jared was that supportive to his acting.

I couldn’t help but commenting maybe it’s difficult to act the funny scenes with Jared there. It is part of my original question: how hard it is to work thru the funny scenes. Jensen said yes, he had to repeat several times for some scenes, because both Jared and Misha are very easy to crack. E.g. the bad acting scene in the meta episode, Misha had to leave the set because he couldn’t control himself. Jensen said that some people just born to hold the poker face.

Later that day in Misha’s M&G someone also asked him about that scene, Misha said it was so funny that he couldn’t help laughing; esp. when Jared held up one arm – each time Jared hold up that arm Misha cracks. When finally he’s ‘get used to’ that arm, Jared held up the other one and Misha just lost it…he told the boys he had to go, eventually.

I think that’s all I remember from this M&G…I desperately hoping to read a more complete report on this, so direct me to them if you know!

Thanks for reading my boring little report! I will bring more details reports of the Sunday Jensen M&G this weekend :-)

Your pics are awesome! Thank you so much :)

I'm glad that the M&G was good for you, I knew what happened from a friend who went as well but personal opinions are always so much better. Thank you for sharing.

You are welcome :-)
If your friend wrote report too please let me know the address, I'm eager to see what others remember about what Jensen said, I forgot a lot *sniff*

Unfortunately, I don't think she usually writes a report but I'll try and ask anyway. If she does, I'll let you know :)
